Ava Chisholm

Ava Chisholm studies Music at Carleton College in Minnesota. She is trained in Jazz guitar and specializes in American Musicology; though, she also makes time to play saxophone in the Carleton Jazz Ensemble and percussion in the Afro-Cuban Drum Ensemble. Currently, Ava is studying Sound Engineering and Music Production at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Denmark. Ava has been studying music since the age of 4 and is passionate about sharing her love of music with the next generation. Ava’s 12-week course will focus on acquiring the basic skills of not only a guitarist but a musician (chords, scales, theory). Students will work primarily with popular music selections, and develop basic improvisation skills. This will allow the students to express themselves as musicians and continue to teach themselves after our time together ends.
